The student-led local committee of IFMSA-Jo at Ibn Sina University, where medical students run public health, education, and research - from the first idea to the finished event.
Who we are
ISUMS Local Committee (ISUMS LC) is run entirely by students of Ibn Sina University, and is the university's local committee in IFMSA-Jo. We lead real projects - awareness campaigns, study workshops, research training - and represent the student body across the faculty.
It's the simplest way we know to turn medical students into leaders, teachers, and researchers before they ever graduate.

Each standing committee is led by a Local Officer (LPO, LOME, or LORE) and an Assistant Local Officer.

Our national network
ISUMS LC is the local committee for Ibn Sina University for Medical Sciences in IFMSA-Jo, the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations in Jordan.
IFMSA-Jo is a non-governmental organisation run by medical students, founded in 2006. It brings together local committees at medical schools across Jordan, and it is Jordan's national member of IFMSA.
IFMSA was founded in 1951 and connects more than 1.5 million medical students in over 120 countries. It works with partners including the World Health Organization.
What it gives ISUMS students
Clinical and research placements at medical schools in other countries, arranged through IFMSA's member organisations.
National trainings and programmes that build leadership, teaching, and research skills.
Medical students from schools across Jordan, at national meetings, camps, and campaigns.
Our standing committees, SCOPH, SCOME, and SCORE, match the standing committees of IFMSA-Jo and IFMSA, so our work can join national and international projects in the same fields.
